I was excited to collect all the parallels of Cutch in his new Giants uniform. I have checked off a few of the parallels, but still need the base.
The initial preview showed a gold parallel of Cutch on a horizontal design. I really liked how it looked as I don't have many cards of the former Pirate in a horizontal look.
The card however was produced vertically using a closer cropping of the same image. You can see the gold parallel below to,compare them both.
Which version do you like more?
The regular version would look nicer, but the parallels look like he's swatting flies in a Vegas parking garage.
ReplyDeleteI like the horizontal view 100x more... but I'm sure people are tired of me complaining about Topps and their need to zoom in and crop off arms, legs, and in this particular case... baseball bats.

ReplyDeleteOk, I'll go against the grain and say I like the vertical version more. I think the horizontal has too much wasted space.
ReplyDeleteNow you've got me expecting Topps to do a set where every card has a horizontal and a vertical version!
I wouldn't be surprised if one day the make cropping variants.
