Luuuucy In The Skyyyy with Donruss

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Visit the official site here.

Breast Cancer will be detected in one of eight women in the US each year.

It is the second leading cause of cancer death among women each year.

On average every 2 minutes a woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer and every 13 minutes one person will die from breast cancer.
There are currently 33 million breast cancer survivors in the USA.

It's important to support the research for cancer.  Breast Cancer is often associated with the color pink so I will be showing off some pink Cutch cards.

In addition, you can expect to see some boobs with each post.  Who doesn't love boobs?

So let's start with what we're hoping to save!

Lucy Pinder

Pinder is a British model who has become well known her G cups.
She has had several modeling gigs over the years from video games to lingerie to automobile ads.

She also has appeared in some B Horror Movies like Strippers vs. Werewolves.

The well endowed actress/model doesn't seem to be going away even at the age of 35.

If you did the math correctly you would have figured out that Pinder was born in 1983.

This 1983 Retro design pink border card from 2017 is limited to only 25 copies.

It is very reminiscent of all those Wade Boggs rookie cards I had as a kid.

The retro back is a bit disappointing as it doesn't have the same design as 1983.  It is merely the 2017 back design with RV (retro version) numbering.

Those early Donruss sets used to have the player's full name printed.

I don't know about the rest of you, but when my full name was said aloud, I knew I was in trouble.

Donruss is in trouble for not completing the retro look. #fail

We are nearing the end of my 3rd Save The Boobies Event where I bring awareness to Breast Cancer all month long by showing off cards featuring Andrew McCutchen in shades of pink for 31 days.  I hope you all have enjoyed this special event again this year.  I have already picked up some new magenta and pink cards to show off next year featuring Cutch.

After the World Series the winners of the contests will be revealed.  Without a horse in the race, I am pulling for the Red Sox to win it all simply because of former Pirates Brock Holt and Steve Pearce.

It's Not Real

This post may seem a bit strange as it will feature a few diffenent ladies who all have one thing in common.

They have all voiced or played the fictional character Harley Quinn.

Margot Robbie brought the character to life on the big screen with her depiction of the zany Arkham Asylum inmate.

Margot stole the show in the film Suicide Squad.

Her version was spot on for how Harley would interact with other super villains and her absolute love for Mr. J aka The Joker.

The roller derby design is my favorite of Harley Quinn, especially when cosplayed by Angie Griffin (she was spotlighted yesterday).

When the character was first introduced by creator Bruce Timm on The Batman Animated Series she carried a massive wooden hammer and was voiced by Arleen Sorkin.

Sorkin was the inspiration for the character's personality and the main reason why so many fans fell in love with the character.  Fun Fact:Sorkin is married to on screen nutcase Christopher Lloyd.  Great Scott!!!!!

The character has been voiced by many more voice actresses including Hynden Walch who actually has a bit of physical similarity to the former psychiatrist turned psycho.

Quinn will be voiced in a brand new solo animated series by everyone's favorite waitress neighbor of the geekiest nerds on TV.

Yup, Kaley Cuoco who plays the, character Penny on The Big Bang Theory will be voicing Harley Quinn this year.
While the character's appearance has slightly changed over the years, the personality certainly remains.

Recently Quinn has carried a standard baseball bat often dressed with graffiti.

Harley Quinn may not be real and sadly neither is this Pink Bat Knob numbered to 25 copies produced by Topps.

Topps made 3 different parallels of these manufactured relics in 2015. They included standard wood (not numbered), black (/99), and pink (/25).  I have all three different parallels.

Who are some of your favorite fictional female characters?

Life is Peachy!

Angie Griffin

I used to attend a lot of comic book conventions each year, attending 4 to 8 each calendar year.

One of my favorite things about the convention circuit was seeing all the gorgeous models cosplaying.

While some of my favorites don't do it anymore, I do still enjoy seeing the YouTube videos from the conventions.

In my opinion, NO ONE is sexier and better than Angie Griffin at cosplaying.

Her costumes are perfect as can be seen on her Instagram imangiegriffin

As is her photo shoots.

Did I mention that her YouTube videos are fun to watch?
You can check her out on the YouTube channel Nerdcraft or Screen Team
You will not be disappointed.

Trust me!
She is an avid video game fan and has dressed up in many character costumes including the hugely popular Fortnite.
She even creates skirts using old video game designs.
She has even managed to make a rap battle to the Game of Thrones commercial that once featured Kate Upton.

Her Zelda cosplay is on point too.

One of my favorite costumes that Mrs. Griffin has worn is Princess Peach from the Super Mario franchise.

Holy **** smokes!!!
Mario has never looked so good.

With Halloween a week away, the remaining posts this month may shy away from the traditional pink and magenta cards I have shown a little more frequently.

Today I will show a 2017 Archives Peach parallel.
These Archive parallels perfectly capture the look of 1992 Topps both on the front and back.
They are numbered to only 199 copies.

One of my favorite bands of all time was the early albums by KoRn.  I remember going to my vintage record store the day Life is Peachy came out and didn't remove it from my discman for about 2 months.
Pikachu was pretty popular in the mid 90s too. Angie Griffin is very popular among comic fans today.
