Cubs Fan Helps Send a Christmas Card

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Visit the official site here.

Breast Cancer will be detected in one of eight women in the US each year.

It is the second leading cause of cancer death among women each year.

On average every 2 minutes a woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer and every 13 minutes one person will die from breast cancer.

There are currently 33 million breast cancer survivors in the USA.

It's important to support the research for cancer.

Breast Cancer is often associated with the color pink so I will be showing off some pink Cutch cards.

In addition, you can expect to see some boobs with each post.  Who doesn't love boobs?

So let's start with what we're hoping to save!

Similar to last year I will be doing a Paint the blog Pink, Breast Cancer Awareness segment.  Kate Upton showed off the full grown version of today's card last year.  I thought I could use another Sports Illustrated swimsuit model to show off the mini version this year.

Marissa Miller is a swimsuit model who has been ranked as high as number 1 on Maxim's Hot 100 list.

Marissa is no stranger to sports as she has participated in several celebrity all star games

in addition to throwing out a few first pitches

for the Giants (against Dodgers)

and Cubs
She also appeared in a super sexy commercial with....Ryan Braun?

With the Brewers set to face the Cubbies in a 1 game playoff for the division, I thought I should show what a super awesome Cubs fan sent me this year.

During the summer I got the mini version of the 2014 Topps Pink numbered 12/25.  It came from a Cubs fan named Steve I talked to on Beckett Marketplace.
Thanks Steve.  I am so happy I was able to cross this need off the list.
This 2014 Topps card is my favorite image of Cutch that Topps has ever used.
It's also a Christmas card of sorts.

Which teams playing today will get an early Christmas gift and claim the divisions?  Today will be a fun day for baseball fans.

Don't forget to leave comments who you would like to see appear in future segments.

  1. Great start!

May I suggest you Google "That Girl on Deck" who's the #1 Brewers fan on Twitter. She's on a trip to Europe now, but should be back in a couple of weeks.
