Allen & Ginter Collection pt2 Relics, Silks, and Autos

I could show off some low numbered autographs to kick start "the hits" portion of my Ginter Week, but I think this card and the multiple jersey relic patterns I have of it shows off my A&G fandom nicely.
With that out of the way, let's move on to some of the BIGGER hits, the booklets.
I have a pair of these booklets that clearly form the front breastplate P on a Pirates black alternate jersey. They come with sticker autographs and are numbered to only 10 copies.

This 1/1 card is just ridiculous. Not only does it feature a great bat barrel nameplate of Cutch, but it also has a Nameplate of Pedro Alvarez from his 2009 Futures Game jersey as pictured in the images below.

Continuing with the autographs
This 2010 autograph is a second year auto of Cutch that is one of the first McCutchen autographs I added to my collection.
The 2012 base autograph and red ink numbered to 10 copies.

For those of you who don't have a silk collection card in your collection, I included a scan of what one of the backs looks like.

As a rookie, silk is hard to wear

I have over 200 cards of Cutch that haven't been updated into my spreadsheet or scanned to the blog.

Among them is an extremely difficult to obtain silk collection rookie card of Cutch from 2009 Topps Update.

I've sat on this card for about six months before finally unearthing it to show off.

Here are my other silk cards I have previously shown off.

The silk parallels are a fascinating parallel.  Most people pass them off as gimmicky (and they certainly are), but because of the low numbering and lack of general interest in them most people just hold onto them instead of trying to sell them.

It has been about six years since I last saw one pop up for sale.

Smooth As Silk!

I have shown a few of my Silk Collection cards before.

This 2018 Allen & Ginter silk /10 brings my A&G silk collection to 4 consecutive years (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).  It is my first major hit of Cutch in a Giants uniform.

Stop looking at me Swan

I love the older Adam Sandler movies from the 90s.  Movies like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Little Nicky, Waterboy, etc. I can quote nearly every line.

I don't know if it is subliminal messaging to my shaved summer head, but when I got this 2017 Allen & Ginter Silk Framed Parallel numbered to 10, I remember doing the entire bathtub scene from Billy Madison mainly because of the silky and smooth line.

Silky and smooooooooth

I actually broke down and bought a new card (1st in awhile) so that I could continue my A&G Silk collection.  I have shown the 2015 and 2016 versions here.

Smooth as Silk

Topps has recently done away with their silk collection cards in the flagship release.

This has caused me to start to grab the Allen & Ginter Silk collection cards from older releases.

This is all the Silk cards I have.

2010-2014 Topps

2015 - 2016 Allen & Ginter

I will be looking to add other Silk cards as I come across them, but am placing them fairly low on the want list.
