When you think of the greatest Showtime player in sports history, there are probably a few names that pop up because of their larger than life personalities. Michael Jordan, Deion "Prime Time" Sanders, LeBron James, Muhamed Ali, Babe Ruth, and Rickey Henderson are the ones that quickly come to mind for me.
With that being said, it came as a bit of a surprise to hear that Rickey Henderson will have a bobblehead bear his image in the upcoming Toy Story film.
I am not sure if he will get a speaking role, but here's hoping for a "but today I am the greatest" line.
Per an article you can hear how the bobblehead came to be featured in the film.
This is my only card I have of Cutch featuring him alongside Rickey. It was released early on his career when he was stealing nearly 30 bags every season. After getting beaned in the back as a retaliation pitch in 2014, Cutch never attempted to steal over 20 bags again.
What are some memorable sports related toys you think could have been featured in the Toy Story franchise?

I Own 100% Of A Print Run
It was almost two years ago that I showed off 2/3 of my 2016 Allen & Ginter metal minis. I had kept a close eye for the final missing piece to eventually show up on the open market and it finally did.
Behold the power of 3!!!
2016 Allen & Ginter mini metals
They were limited to only 3 copies, but I now own 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3.
It feels pretty awesome to be knocking out cards like this to complete print runs. 2019 releases have been pretty slow thus far, but I expect that to change as the season goes on.

Piece of that Pie
Last week I received one of my biggest purchases of the year.
A genuine 1933 Goudey of a Hall of Famer complete with a cut autograph of the greatest Pirates 3rd Baseman ever.
I've been wanting a Pie Traynor auto for a long time, but could never find a nice autograph that doesn't include something like "best wishes" or "To Jimmy" on it AND the card depicts him in a Pirates uniform. This 2013 Historic Autographs accomplishes both.

Star Wars Day: A New Hope
Today is Star Wars Day, May the Forth (be with you). I am not a HUGE Star Wars fan, but will be watching the all day marathon on TBS today.
I will display everything I remember about the 1st Star Wars released in 1977 using Andrew McCutchen baseball cards. The first Star Wars released was called A New Hope
This is my Saphire Hope parallel from 2013 Topps. It is New to my collection, thus "A New Hope"
The first Hope parallels were inserted in the now famous 2011 Topps Update Series. The Hope parallels were numbered to 60 copies.
Mine is 40/60.
I'm glad I grabbed this one forever long ago as trying to get the Hope parallels now are almost impossible to find thanks to the rookies of Mike Trout, Jose Altuve, and Paul Goldschmidt.
Darth Vader learns that the rebels have gotten plans to destroy his Death Star.
Luke Skywalker, who we later find out is Vader's son and Princess Leia's brother, is seen on Tattooine, a desolate planet with lots of sand.
I have 10 total parallels of Cutch looking like he is swinging a bat on Tatoine including
black and white, Members Only
Red Foil, Rainbow Foil
Sepia, Photographer's Proof
Chrome Mint Good, Chrome Refractor
Chrome Superfractor (1/1), Chrome
Luke meets a legendary Jedi named Obi-Wan Kenobi
The Pirates have had a lot of legendary players over the years, but it all started with Honus Wagner.
Kenobi teaches Skywalker how to yield a lightsaber, the weapon of choice for all Jedi.
This 5x7 Topps Fire Gold card (/10) is one of my favorite designed cards ever to feature Cutch.
Luke becomes a Jedi and begins to wear the same wardrobe as his mentor.
In 2010 Topps Unique and Heritage Rookie Performers, Cutch is wearing a 1909 uniform made famous by Honus Wagner.
Other things happen and at the end, Skywalker gets in an X-wing Figher to perfectly shoot down the Death Star's only vulnerable spot, by using the Force.
I remember Skywalker getting a medal at the end of one of the movies, so if this ribbon looking card doesn't match up with how New Hope ended, let's just use a lot of imagination and pretend it's an aerial silhoutte view of an X-Wing fighter.

100-Jersey Number = X
Elite has a really cool parallel where they make the purple status pararallel numbered to the player's jersey number and the blue inspirations limited to 100-jersey number
By now everyone on here should know that Cutch's main jersey number since breaking into the majors is 22.
Thus....
78
+
22
=100
That is a pretty cool idea that Panini did
The backs are identical
The two prefix numbers on the serial numbering 20+14=34
Who has the most memorable number 34 for you in any sport?

Joe Maddon, the Mad Scientist PART 1
Much has been said of Joe Maddon and his unorthodox way of managing.
Cutch has had a few words from Joe on the back of his baseball cards in the past.
I am still in search of the red Target exclusive for this 2013 Prizm Superstar along with the Prizm Prizm (Refractor)

Cardboard Cameo: Where The Heck Are These Guys?
First and foremost, congrats to CC Sabathia for becoming just the 17th player in MLB history to amass 3,000 career strikeouts and the most recent to do it since John Smoltz did it in 2008. The 3K club for pitchers is pretty exclusive company as there are more hitters in the 500HR, 3000hit club, more pitchers that have thrown a perfect game and more pitchers in the 300 Win club.
The Yankees had an incredible season last year as this card commemorates, but this year all three of the guys pictured are not active on the roster.
Aaron Hicks
Andrew Mccutchen
Aaron Judge
The Yankees were able to overcome injuries last year enroute to a 100 win season.
It will certainly be a challenge for them to repeat the feat this year.
