The Definition of Class

One of my main goals for Collecting Cutch in 2021 was to acquire 50 new Pirates playing days cards (2005-2017).

With thousands of unique cards in that era already in my collection, it will be difficult to add 50 new cards to the PC, but it is basically one a week.

I had mentioned that a few were in transit and I just got this one in on Saturday before the Snowpocalypse happened in New Jersey.
This is a 2013 Topps Triple Threads gold parallel numbered to 99 copies.  Something about the design, the all white uniform, and gold background really makes this card look classy and elegant.
The back discusses how in just a few seasons into his career, Cutch was able to become just the fourth player in the Pirates century long franchise to achieve multiple 20+HR/SB campaigns.  It also goes on to discuss that Cutch's off field community outreach as he is the spokesman for Habitat for Humanity in the Pittsburgh area.

  1. Very nice card. I feel like the base/parallels from these hit-first sets are often overlooked and hard to come by.

  2. You're right... his white uniform sure stands out. Great looking card.

  3. I did a couple custom Cutch designs on the '71 Topps. You're more than welcome to print them out for your collection.
