A few weeks ago a 2016 Topps Stadium Club Beam Team Gold of Andrew McCutchen popped up for sale.
These don't command a lot of money on the secondary market, but they are very difficult to come across as they are inserted only 1 per case. Not being numbered (or Topps providing a print run) helps to keep the prices low.
They can be had for only about $5+ and feature a great design that made the original stadium club run from the 90s so popular initially.
I don't know what caused Topps to send this particular card in a sealed top loader, but it makes it that much more unique to add to the collection.
Maybe one day I will grab another copy that isn't sealed with a sticker, but for now I am happy to check this one off the list.
Great looking cards. 👍
ReplyDeleteThat likely was an NPN (No Purchase Necessary) send out. That's how cards come from the NPN program. Nice snag.
ReplyDeleteI’ve always loved Beam Teams. Very cool.
ReplyDelete$5 for a case hit? Insane. But for collectors like us who enjoy adding new cards to our player/team collections, this is quite the bargain.
