Hey! Can you give me a hand?

Every now and then I pick up an item for my Cutch collection that goes beyond cardboard and I get really excited about it.  I've shown off some pretty cool items in the past which I may go into a recap post in the future, but below is an item that is a first for me.

Above is my first pair of game used batting gloves.  They were both autographed by Andrew McCutchen and both have a game used inscription by Cutch.

They come certified by Hunt's Auctions.

Best of all though you can see Cutch wearing this style batting glove on a variety of his Phillies cards from 2019 to 2021.

How would you display an item like this? Shadowbox? Frame?

Both showing the signed side or one side,showing the game use? Should I put some 5x7s inside it?

A New Cutch22 and complaint about technology

I haven't posted in a week and am trying to figure out to work around this "upgraded" version of blogger on my phone.  

I am not a fan.

I have no clue how to quickly access drafts using tags or how to add tags to my posts as I am drafting them.  This frustrates me as I have hundreds (Yes you read that correctly) of rough drafts ready to go when an event may pop up.  

This technology is not helping me show off my collection of Cutch.

This 2019 Topps Tek was purchased last November and I have had it saved for awhile as a draft, but I have no idea where it is on the new blogger loading screen.

I rescanned it to show this purple parallel numbered 22/99

TEKnically I Could Have Waited

I wasn't collecting cards when the first run of Topps Tek (and it's many parallels) came out in the late 90s.

When the line relaunched in 2014 I thought it was so fun and wild, especially the color difractors.  Unfortunately Andrew McCutchen only appeared in the insert set.

Then 2015 came out and that checklist included Cutch.

I showed off my Tek collection a little over 3 years ago.  At the time I had nearly completed the entire rainbow of Cutch except pattern 6.  Pattern 7 is "tek"nically the tougher pull as they aren't guaranteed per case.  Pattern 6 falls only 1 per case and is estimated that it has a print run of only 25 copies.

Fast forward almost three years later from that post and I am finally talking about having gotten pattern 6 for my collection.

I look for new McCutchen cards probably 3-5 times a week on eBay, COMC, and sportlots.  When I saw pattern 6 pop up for the first time in nearly 4 years I knew I needed it for my collection.

Here's the thing though.
1)It was being sold by COMC so the s&h was going to be a dollar plus more than the actual cost to ship the item
2)Because it was COMC and only a few weeks away from their annual Black Friday sale I knew if I held out for a few more weeks I could get FREE SHIPPING
3)You can't negotiate offers with COMC via eBay

I ultimately decided to pay the near $17 for the card as I wasn't sure when (or if) another "pattern 6" would pop back up for sale.

It was delivered to my address over 70 days ago as you can see in the screenshot below.

I am just now writing about it.

Have you felt that you overpaid for a parallel because you didn't want to wait for a cheaper one to show up due to it's scarcity?

How much do you know about Tek?

I used to consider myself always at the forefront of wanting the newest technology when I was a teenager and into my early 20s. Now though, I get up to 3 years out of my cellphone before I trade in, have bought a video game system since PlayStation 2, and only last year got myself a tablet (mainly to help catalog cards easier on the couch).

Does this seem normal?

I'm not sure if it is or isn't, but one form of Tek I love is the Topps kind.

The 2014 release of Tek somehow didn't include the reigning NL MVP except for a few insert sets.

2015 brought us the full smorgasbord of parallels you can expect from the set. I've gotten many of the different variations and hopefully one day will be able to add more. Cutch was part of Group A and all the various styles that group could be found on.

 The Red /5 are stunning! Check out the backs below to see how bold the colors are.

Much like 2015, Cutch was featured in a lot of the parallels but this time as a Group B player.

I am still working on a lot of these. If anyone sees some of the less common designs (the SSP triangles should be arriving any day), please let me know. I also need the green maze parallel.
