I am also planning on moving in the next few month's so it seems like a perfect time to take a step back so that I can move forward in life.
Call it a golden opportunity.
On a personal level it's more golden than this 2018 Topps Update gold parallel of the 1983 insert set.
This change in life style is certainly more limited than the 50 copies of this card produced too.
But at the same token, it presents a far more greater possibility of what may come in the future.
Great call on your decision. Stress is a killer!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine working 50 hours a week week after week. (I'm sure I've done 50 hours in an unusually busy week, but that's very different.) Hope the change works out well for you.
ReplyDeleteStress in never a good thing. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteMental health is super important. Glad this golden opportunity presented itself. Best of luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteHere's to better times ahead. I've been doing the same job for 5 years now, and though it's not super exciting and seen as like entry-level in my department, it's low-stress so I love it and am perfectly content with my "career" plateauing rather than advancing into a position that would stress me out.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your decision. I totally get it. I have been feeling exhausted and overwhelmed myself, and can very much respect pulling back for the sake of your own health. Hope the decision is well worth it!
ReplyDeleteI applaud your decision to cut back. For 7 1/2 years I worked full-time during the week and then a second part-time job on weekends. 60 hour weeks with month-long stretches without a day off were brutal and exhausting. Above all else, you have to take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all your golden opportunities. I wish the best for you in all your new circumstances.
