With talks of a Shane Bieber Stadium Club gaining national media attention the likes of a Mark Jackson Hoops card, it seems like Topps has done something great for the hobby this year.
And I'm not even talking about the Shane Bieber card that calls him Justin on the back.
No.
I am talking about the new parallel that Topps released in this year's Allen & Ginter card set.
Topps produced a stained glass version of all subjects in this year's mini set.
They aren't serially numbered, but production notes these cards are limited to only 25 copies. Scans can't do justice to them.
These are awesome! Is Tino included in this? I haven't seen one pop up yet.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately he is not. Only subjects numbered 1-150, 200, and 351-400 were given the parallel treatment. Tino is numbered 300.
DeleteI didn't realize it was only certain card numbers that got this parallel.
DeleteKudos to Topps for creating these stained glass cards. The Cutch is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would give to pull one of these myself. The stained glass minis are probably my favorite part of the 2019 Topps Allen & Ginter set.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteFinally, I get to see one with some light coming through it! I keep seeing them on Twitter, but they're just laying flat, looking a little less than interesting. In the light though... that's where they shine :)
ReplyDeleteThey're awesome in the light
DeleteOh wow. I need to see one of these up close now!
ReplyDeleteVery cool design, especially considering how baseball can be a religion to some folks.
