Diamond Kings Are Forever

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Visit the official site here.

Breast Cancer will be detected in one of eight women in the US each year.

It is the second leading cause of cancer death among women each year.

On average every 2 minutes a woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer and every 13 minutes one person will die from breast cancer.
There are currently 33 million breast cancer survivors in the USA.

It's important to support the research for cancer.  Breast Cancer is often associated with the color pink so I will be showing off some pink Cutch cards.

In addition, you can expect to see some boobs with each post.  Who doesn't love boobs?

So let's start with what we're hoping to save!

Lana Wood is a former actress best known for her role as being a Bond girl.

Wood played the character Plenty O'tool alongside Sean Connery in the Bond Classic Diamonds Are Forever.
I had a lot of trouble finding color photos of this beautiful actress, but what I did find is stunning to look at.

I really like looking at these old vintage photos.  It helps to recapture the times of that era both in fashion and beauty.

Could you imagine how many followers Lana Wood would have if she were in her prime making movies?  Her Instagram and Twitter would have millions.
Photographed beauty never ages

Something else that never seems to age, but continuously is a trademark is the Diamond Kings inserts.

Panini has been putting their Diamond Kings inserts in their product since the formation of the brand in 1981.  While they are no longer painted, they do have a nice modern digital look especially for the Optic brand.

The backs of the cards feature
more computer generated black and white "paintings".

I am still looking for more suggestions so keep them coming....
John had recommended a Bonds Girl post and while all the ladies he suggested were good, Lana fits nicely with the Diamond theme.

Still slated to appear this month are Vanessa Kay, Rhianna, and many, many more. Keep the suggestions coming!

  1. Well done...Lots of great Bond Women. Thanks for going back to the old days.

  2. Great post, and some really nice photography that holds up extremely well over time.

  3. It won't be long until you'll be able to do a whole month of just Bond Girls...

  4. I knew there was a reason I loved watching James Bond movies when I was a kid. Figured it was the gadgets... until I read this post.
